Thinking About Botox?

Throughout the past few years of working in dermatology, I've noticed the reactions of people who hear the word "Botox". Some take a little offense in hearing the recommendation or are quick to shut it down in fear of looking like a botched celebrity with the immovable forehead or constant look of someone opening the door to their own surprise party.
In reality, Botox is a simple prescription injection to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles when administered correctly. I've seen Dr. Meulener's patients before and after Botox treatment, and I can say with conviction that they simply look like themselves, just a little bit smoother. Check out these incredible before-and-afters!
Botox is not a filler, it contains tiny amounts of a highly purified botulinum toxin protein refined from the bacterium, Clostridium botulinum. By injecting it into the muscles in the forehead, between eyebrows, or around the lips, Botox temporarily reduces muscle activity in those areas to smooth the muscles.
