Microneedling

Both fine lines and deeper wrinkles form when the collagen below the skin has been damaged, usually from repeated motion that creases the skin and breaks apart supporting structures. Microneedling encourages the body to repair and rebuild the damaged collagen, for thicker, more resilient skin. It also helps with pigment abnormalities including melasma and sun spots.

Microneedling is a skin rejuvenating treatment that uses tiny needles to induce a controlled injury to the skin, which stimulates collagen production. The small wounds trigger the skin to repair itself by producing new collagen which means plumper, smoother healthier skin. This effect is enhanced by using the patients Platelet Rich Plasma whereby a blood sample is spun down and the part rich in growth factors and platelets are harvested for application during the microneedling procedure. This results in enhanced collagen formation and improved results.
