Leg veins

Spider veins are smaller, red, purple, and blue vessels that twist and turn on the surface of the skin. Spider veins are easily visible through the skin, and typically occur on the legs.  there may be some redness or swelling after treatment that will disappear within a few days to weeks. Patients may experience discolored skin in the areas that have been treated, but this typically fades within 2-4 weeks. Compression stockings should be worn for 48 hours after treatment to see optimal results. Typically, patients need 1 or more treatments depending on the severity of the veins. The treatment is painful and, in some cases, a topical numbing cream can be used prior for added comfort.
